Anti Mullerian Hormone ( 1 ) | Rs .1300 |
---|
Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) is a glycoprotein weighing about 140 kDa. It is produced during embryogenesis by Sertoli cells of the embryonic testis. This hormone plays an important role in the evolution of Mullerian ducts and inhibits female gonadogenesis. AMH belongs to transforming growth factor (beta |TGF- beta) super family. It causes apoptosis of specific Mullerian inhibiting substances (MIS) receptor cells and has no effect on cells without receptors.
