So what is a UV filter ?  [In Detail]

It basically kills the bacteria and virus in your water using the UV ultraviolet light. The uv light basically breaks their outer membrane just like soap breaks the membrane of any virus. here light is used for the purpose.

Why is ro required with UV then u will ask me?

Ans : Ro is basically a process which pushes the water through very small nano holes which is smaller than a bacteria or virus thus filtering them. SO what happens is the UV kills the bacteria and virus by say 99% these 1% of bacteria or virus will be blocked in the RO process. The water that is hard to pass will get out via other outlet. It also doesn't allow any chemical compound to pass through it. Which can be minerals or any hard metal that is dissolved in your water. So which is why water is tasteless after the RO process so manufacture thought of adding this another cartilages after the RO stages to introduce mineral into the water. Like the one show below.

DO we really need the RO process?

Ans: i would say yes and no depending on your answer , say you are using boring well then yes get the RO+UV one and if you staying next to industrial area then compulsory i would say get a RO+UV filter. The Indian standard of inspection we all know, so we have to be on safer side. Even boiling water can't get rid of the chemcial that could have gotten mixed in your drinking water, you never know.

Now the main question arises
Which One Should One Go For A Branded One Or A Local Made ?

I would recommend you a local product if you like to save some bucks or if you have some money to spend then go for PureIt , or from Eureka.
